Digital Media Update: 3 things you need to do now

Digital media is changing faster than most people can keep up. Fortunately we can save you the time it takes trawling websites to see what you need to do now to keep your digital media in check.

1. BECOME A PROFICIENT TWEETER

The new relationship between Twitter and Google means big things for social media. If you don’t have Twitter in your marketing programme, you may want to re-think that.  Tweets will now show up in Google’s search results.  Imagine what that can do for your SEO visibility!  Get tweeting…

2. LOOK INTO PERISCOPE

With Twitter purchasing Periscope earlier this year, this means live streaming video can now be found in Google searches also.  You no longer need to record videos and upload them to YouTube, you can now live stream video using Periscope.  Anyone can do it.  It’s easy, instant and interactive.  Of course this isn’t for every business, but it may be worth your while checking to see if it could be for yours.

3. MAKE A DECISION ABOUT FACEBOOK

Facebook isn’t necessarily the social media star for every business these days.  The majority of Digital Intelligence monitors we track showcase Twitter and Instagram as star platforms in both B2B and B2C markets.  Having said that, Facebook is very popular with males in the Tradie market and the fishing market.  Find out exactly where your market are engaging and concentrate on that.

As Business & Marketing Consultants we highly recommend finding out which digital media platforms work best for your industry and market and focus on those. Digital Intelligence reports give you insights into the platforms to use, when to use them, and what content your market are interested in.  Focus your marketing efforts where it counts.
